Placer County Veterans Monument now a reality

Updated: Jun 17, 2022

Since its humble beginnings close to five years ago, the project has now become a reality.

The Lincoln Veterans Memorial Coalition is a collaborative project of these five Veteran entities:

American Legion Post 264

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3010

Semper Fi Organization

Lincoln Hills Veterans Group

Woman Veterans Alliance

These groups came together for the purpose of building a Veterans’ Memorial in McBean Park to promote civic pride and to honor all Placer County Veterans – those still living and those who paid the ultimate price in serving our country.

On Memorial Day 2021, the dedication took place in front of over 100 people at McBean Park. The picture below, showing the glory of this monument to honor those veterans from Placer county says it all. There are still some finishing touches that need to take place, but as you can see, it is still something to behold.
